It has been quite a while now, since actress Ariel Winter went to live with her sister instead of her own mother following custody agreements with her family. Clearly this has not sat well with her mother Chrystal Workman who has been trying to regain custody of her daughter ever since then.
Things have not been going well for Chrystal Workman lately though, as it was recently revealed that she had been taking money that was meant for her daughter. This will certainly not help her situation when it all comes to a head and it looks highly unlikely that Chrystal will get custody of her daughter back.
Now it has been reported that Chrystal Workman wants to get the cast of Modern Family, the show in which Ariel Winter plays Alex Dunphy, to testify at the custody trial. That means we could see the likes of Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Angela Gould and Diane Rodriguez all defending Chrystal.
As well as the Modern Family cast, Chrystal Workman also wants ABC president Paul Lee and the shows producer Steve Levitan to speak in her defence. All of this does seem like a bit of a pointless exercise, as Ariel Winter will turn 18 before the whole thing is over anyway, then there is also the fact that the judge has pretty much said it will never happen.
Anyways, fans of Modern Family can catch the show, which is now in its fifth season, on ABC on Wednesday evenings at 9/8c.
