Despite the fact that the DC Extended Universe has really not been received very well by the fans at all, with continued reports about how the Wonder Woman movie has been getting a bit messy, as well as the concerns already covering the Justice League film, Warner Bros. are still convinced that they can make a success of this world and are still pushing forward with a number of new DC movies over the course of the next few years.
One movie that a lot of fans are excited about seeing, although obviously also a little worried about, is the planned Green Lantern Corps. film, which has had a huge amount of rumours surrounding the project over the past few weeks and months, and even years. One of the biggest talking points about the Green Lantern Corps. movie is which characters we will see appearing in the project and which stars will be cast in the roles.
One of the most recent casting rumours about Green Lantern Corps. suggested that we are going to see Armie Hammer being cast in the role of Hal Jordan, which seemed to be greeted with a mixed response from the fans. Now, Armie has been asked about his possible involvement in the DCEU, with the actor simply stating, "I saw the reporting too. That's the first I heard of it."
With that said though, it is not the first time that an actor has denied knowing anything about a movie role, only for them to get cast in the role later, just look at Jason Momoa, who has admitted that he knew he was playing Aquaman for years before it was announced. Could this be another case of playing dumb or will Armie Hammer not be cast as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps.? We guess only time will tell.
