A few years back we were almost treated to a Justice League movie, which would have seen, a then relatively unknown, Armie Hammer playing the caped crusader. That project got quite a way along before it finally broke down but now Armie Hammer has become a world known star.
There was more than one problem which stopped the previous attempt to make a Justice League movie, including the strike by the Writers Guild Of America. Along with the that, the budget began to get way out of hand and eventually the Justice League movie just faded away.
However, there are new plans afoot for a Justice League movie and, while they are still in the early stages of production, there are reports that Armie Hammer could still be set to play Batman. The guys over at Moviehole claim that Armie is the favourite for the role.
It is also suggested that the actor who portrays Batman in the Justice League movie may not necessarily be involved in the standalone reboot of the Batman franchise. That sounds a bit odd to us and the fact that it is still early days for the Justice League movie means taking these rumours with a pinch of salt.
