Hollywood actor Armie Hammer has had a long and successful acting career to date and it has been a rather interesting one to look at. While Armie has enjoyed working on a regular basis in Hollywood, he has had a rather mixed career to date, appearing in some solid roles, while also being involved in the occasional flop.
Armie Hammer put in a decent performance in the movie The Social Network, before going on to give another solid performance in J. Edgar. In a bid to try to show his diversity as an actor, Armie then took on the role of Prince Alcott in the Snow White movie Mirror Mirror, which was less than impressive.
When it was announced that Hammer was to play the lead role in the movie The Lone Ranger it was expected that this would be his big break. Unfortunately for the actor though The Lone Ranger was considered a huge flop and there were questions as to where his carer would go from there.
Well, while we already know that Armie Hammer will appear in the movie Man From U.N.C.L.E., it has now been confirmed that he has been cast in the lead role for the new psychological thriller Mine. With a bit of luck this will see Armie Hammer back to his serious best and see him getting his career back on track.
Mine will see Armie Hammer play the role of "a soldier stranded in the desert after a failed assassination mission. In order to survive, he must battle exposure to the elements while resisting the psychological damages brought on by his precarious situation."
Mine is written and directed by Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro and production on the movie is expected to begin this Fall.
