Following the first two seasons of the hit The CW comic book television series Arrow, fans were very excited to see what season 3 would have to offer but, unfortunately for the majority of the fans, they missed the mark and gave us a very unimpressive season. There were so many things that were wrong with Arrow season 3 and the fans have made it clear what they want to see in season 4.
Well it seems like the Arrow writers have been listening to what the fans have been saying, especially when it comes to the character Felicity Smoak, who is played by the actress Emily Bett Rickards in the show. Many fans criticised what happened with Felicity in season 3 and have called for the character to return to what made us love her in the first two seasons, which seems to be exactly what they are doing with season 4.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim explained, "The show got really, really dark last year, and I think [Felicity] reacted accordingly. Certainly no one was more tired of the crying than Emily [Bett Rickards], but right behind Emily was the rest of us." Fortunately though, with season four expected to make the changes that the fans have been craving for, it looks like we are going to get the return of the "strong, capable, funny Felicity." About time too.
As well as having Felicity Smoak getting back to her best, we are also going to see the introduction of a number of new and exciting characters, as well as some familiar faces popping back up. It certainly sounds like Arrow season 4 could be the best season yet, with the new season set to premiere on Wednesday, October 7.
