Arsenal to wear black armbands in remembrance of Tottenham Hotspur 13 point gap

It has been revealed that the Arsenal players are set to wear black armbands, during their match against Manchester City at the Emirates on April 8, in remembrance of the 13 point gap that local rivals Tottenham Hotspur had over them earlier in the season.

Tottenham Hotspur were sitting comfortably in 3rd place in the English Premier League with a nice 13 point cushion, which saw their fans becoming a little too cocky towards Arsenal fans. Now the Arsenal players will get their revenge with the black armbands next weekend.

An Arsenal insider explained, “The silly Spurs fans all got a little bit above themselves a little too early. Now we are three points above them and they have all gone quiet. So just to rub it in, it has been decided that the players will wear black armbands in remembrance of the gap Spurs once had.”

The season is by no means over and, following their defeat yesterday, Arsenal can still be easily caught by Tottenham Hotspur, who could go above them if they win by more than three goals against Swansea at White Hart Lane later today.
