Arsene Wenger’s future at Arsenal in doubt

Well it seems to me that the Arsenal fans have finally started to turn their backs on the man that brought them The Invincibles. After what can only be described as an embarrassing 8-2 to Manchester United, it appears that the fans have had enough and are calling for his head.

With Cesc Fabregas now winning trophies in a Barcelona shirt (he has already won more in the few weeks he has been there, than the whole time he was at Arsenal) and Samir Nasri on the right end of a 5-1 result, it seems that it will not be long before other players feel it is time to cut their losses and jump the sinking ship of Arsenal.

With just a few more days before the transfer window closes, Arsene Wenger will need to spend big on big name players in an attempt to get the disgruntled fans back onside. It seems a big ask from the man who was too stubborn to change his tactics against Manchester United and it is more likely that he will spend it on some French teenager.

Arsenal look a shadow of the teams from the past and unless Wenger can turn things around, it could well be time to call it a day. Losing the backing of the supporters is always the first step towards the exit door and if results do not quickly improve then I cannot see how he can keep his job.

I think it is finally time for Monsieur Wenger to say Au revoir to the Gooners and let somebody else come in and bring Arsenal into the new era of football, where spending big is a must to compete at the top level. Thank you mister Wenger but your number is up. Arriba!!
