We already know that we are going to see Peter Parker aka Spider-Man appearing in the new Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War, with a huge amount of names being linked to the role, as the rumours about the casting continue. With shooting for Captain America: Civil War already underway, it is expected that an official casting announcement will be made very soon.

Spider-Man is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Over the course of the past few days and weeks, there has been a lot of talk that the British actor Asa Butterfield is the favourite to land the role as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, with many suggesting that the announcement will be made very soon. As is certainly around the age that Marvel are looking for and definitely has the acting talent to pull off the role.
Marvel have confirmed that they want to cast a younger Spider-Man and, when they have finished with his cameo appearance in Captain America: Civil War, they will turn their attention to the Spider-Man solo movie. We have already seen two Spider-Man origin movies in recent years and Marvel have confirmed that they will not be doing this, although they will focus on his school years.

Asa Butterfield is the favourite for the role
We have to admit that Asa Butterfield was not the first name that came to mind, when it was announced that Spider-Man was joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although we are coming round to the idea. While an official announcement has yet to be made, it does almost look a given that it will be Asa Butterfield and we are sure that he will nail the role.
