It has been confirmed that Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson will be making an appearance on the hit television show How I Met Your Mother. CBS confirmed that the 22-year-old will be set to appear in an episode of the show in the New Year.

The details of the role that Ashley will be playing has yet to be confirmed but it is said that she will somehow be connected to Barney (Neil Patrick Harris). Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that Rachel Bilson will be making her return to How I Met Your Mother.
Rachel will once again reprise her role as Cindy, who played the roommate of the mother of the series. It has yet to be announced whether or not How I Met Your Mother will continue after this season of the show but the show creators have said that they are writing this season as if it is the last.

How I Met Your Mother season eight will continue on CBS, every Monday night at 8/7c and in the UK on E4. As for Ashley Benson, she can next be seen on the big screen, starring alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez, in Spring Breakers, which is released in 2013.
