Ashley Slanina-Davies has become synonymous with the character of Amy Barnes on the hit Channel 4 teen soap, Hollyoaks. Since the show first aired in 1995, but Ashley joined the cast in 2007.
The role of Amy Barnes would be Ashley's first major TV acting role, and it's certainly established a career for her. The character of Amy had to deal with many issues on the show, including teen pregnancy, the breaking up of her family, and getting involved in a car crash.
While the character of Amy was actually written out in 2012 after she decides to take up a full-time college course, she's listed as returning to the show in 2013.
Ashley Slanina-Davies doesn't have many other acting credits to her name, apart from a brief one-episode stint as herself on Dancing On Ice. She also starred in the spin-off 'Hollyoaks Later' in 2008, but the show didn't end up continuing. Ashley definitely has talent, but it's interesting to see that she hasn't tried to expand past the show in her acting career, unlike the others stars on the show and on the other long-running teen drama in the UK, 'Skins'.
