When it comes to building a successful football team, one of the most important things that you will need to have is a very good goalkeeper, and English club Chelsea certainly have plenty of those. Chelsea have one of the best keepers in the world, in their number one choice Petr Cech, while their second choice Thibaut Courtois has been making a claim for the top spot.
Thibaut Courtois has spent the season on loan at Spanish side Atletico Madrid, helping them to win the La Liga title, as well as helping them to the Champions League final. That match will be the last game of his loan spell at Atletico Madrid, before returning to Chelsea, but Thibaut has admitted that he is unsure what the future holds for him at Chelsea.
Thibaut explained, "The two of us want to play everything. Nobody will be happy to play in only the League Cup or FA Cup. Things are unclear at the moment. I have the biggest respect for Petr Cech. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world so I think putting him and me in the same team is not the healthiest thing in the world."
He added, "Things are unclear at the moment. We will see in the next week if we can sit together with Chelsea to find something for next year, find out what they want, what my desire is. We will see."
Before he worried about his future at Chelsea, Thibaut Courtois will be focussing on the Champions League final, which will see Atletico Madrid taking on Real Madrid tomorrow.
