It has been confirmed that Entertainment group Walt Disney have agreed a deal to produce Avatar based attractions at its theme parks. It is expected that work will begin on the Avatar attractions, at Disney’s Orlando, Florida theme park, in 2013 and it is thought that it will cost around $400m.
Avatar director James Cameron, who is currently working on two sequels to the hit movie, said that the project is set to "go beyond current boundaries of technical innovation and experimental storytelling, and give park-goers the chance to see, hear and touch the world of Avatar".
Disney have claimed that the Avatar attraction will take around five years to complete and that they could even build Avatar attractions across the world. Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time, making an incredible $2.7 billion.
