It has been reported that Ramin Bahrami, known for his independent movie hits such as Man Push Cart in 2005 and Chop Shop in 2007, has signed up Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid to star in his latest project. Bandside Films are said to be pitching the it this weekend’s Cannes Film Festival.
Not much is known about the, as of yet untitled, movie but Quaid is expected to play the lead role. He will play a farmer who comes to blows with his family over his insistence on manic expansion. Efron is likely to play one of Quaid’s sons.
Quaid will next be seen later in the year as Reverend Shaw Moore in the remake of Footloose after starring in the drama Soul Surfer. Zac Efron is currently filming romantic comedy New Year’s Eve where he will be playing a supporting role.
