When one looks at Bela Padilla it can sometimes be difficult to imagine that she does not expect to win awards for her acting but that is what she revealed in interviews following her win of the the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 62nd Film Academy of Arts and Sciences Awards held at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resorts and Casino.
She was given the award for her portrayal of Maya Limchauco in the film "10,000 Hours" and admitted that when she was announced as the winner she was thinking of her current acting project as she expected the award to be given to Angel Aquino who was enjoying a 'sweep' of the awards. When her name was announced she felt as if her heart had 'jumped'.
No one can ever complain about this attractive Filipino actress not being completely honest about what she is thinking as she disclosed that her mind was actually thinking about the filming of the movie and how she had to return to film "13 more sequences including several with a rain effect and as such she did not prepare a decent speech". An actress whose thoughts are more on the work and not on the awards is someone whom will always be in the 'good books' of filmmakers and Bela Padilla is obviously an actress whom filmmakers are enamoured of.
However, her selection as the award winner for "10,000 hours" is likely not a surprise to some of her fans, colleagues and entertainment critics because she is known as an actress who is not only beautiful but also immensely talented.
Bela Padilla will next be seen in the first medical series on Philippine TV, "Sa Puso Ni Dok" opposite GMA's leading man Dennis Trillo and with this attractive actress as the leading lady the potential for this series being a ratings and critical success is very high.
