Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck has been working in the acting industry from a very young age and, while he has had a lot of critics over the years following some questionable career choices, he is still considered one of the most talented stars in the business. With that said though, it seems that Ben would not want his own children to follow in his footsteps and become child stars, although he would be fine with them getting into the industry at a later date.
Affleck was speaking at a Q&A at the AutFest International Film Festival in California at the weekend, when he revealed, "I think it's a hard thing. I love being an actor, I got into it as a child and I wouldn't change that. But I also wouldn't want to take my kids and push them out there before they were 18."
He added, "If they are 18 and they want to make those choices and do that kind of thing, that's fine. But being a child actor, I just know too much of the downside of what that can be like. I had some great rewards, and I probably wouldn't have made it as an adult had I not built up that body of work as a kid, so it's a strange thing. My kids would be good in the school play. If they can handle that, they're in good shape."
As for his own acting career, Ben Affleck has currently been making a lot of headlines due to his role as Batman in the DC Extended Universe, with some people questioning whether he might quit the role sooner rather than later.
