From the very moment that it was announced that Disney had bought the rights to the Star Wars franchise and were bringing us a whole bunch of new movies, there have been hugely excited fans all over the world. Since then, there have been a huge amount of casting rumours for the different Star Wars films and, while Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens has revealed most of the casting, there are still the sequels and spinoffs to think about.
Following Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, J.J. Abrams will pass on the reins to Rian Johnson, who will write and direct Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX. Despite the fact that we still have several months until Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is released, the rumours about which actors will appear in the future movies have already begun, with some top names being linked to the projects.
The most recent rumour is about Star Wars: Episode VIII, with the talented and experienced actor Benicio Del Toro being linked to a role in the movie and it sounds like a good one. According to the reports, Benicio is in line to play the main villian in Star Wars: Episode VIII, which has left many people questioning what will happen to the main villain in Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
With a new villain being introduced for the next movie, does that mean that we are going to see the main villain in the new film being killed off? Or are they going to add a number of villains as the movies progress? We guess we will just have to wait and see.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens opens on December 18, while Star Wars: Episode VIII will open on May 26, 2017.
