Hollywood actor Bill Pullman has revealed how he believes that the Independence Day 2 movie could begin shooting as soon as next year. Bill says that he has been in regular contact with director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin and positive moves are being made.
Pullman was talking to Crave Online when he explained, “Within a year(They might start shooting), yeah, something like that I guess. I worried about taking this part because it’s heating up.” However, there is the issue with whether Will Smith will return or not, although Bill says that there is a backup plan if he doesn’t.
He added, “The Will Smith part of it may be ongoing but I think there’s strategies for both. I like what I have to do in both of them. I’m not in an old age home in a wheelchair being wheeled out for one more moment. It’s a very interesting conception of what happens to Whitmore between then and when it picks back up.”
With that said, it does seem unlikely that they will begin shooting Independence Day 2 as soon as Bill Pullman hopes but there are definitely positives to be taken. The fact that the involvement of Will Smith in the movie is not a necessity means that there is more of a chance of Independence Day 2 actually happening.
