There are a whole host of Australian stars making a name for themselves in the US these days, whether it be acting, singing or modelling, they just continue to keep coming. Many of the Australian actors and actresses in Hollywood these days started out their careers in either the Australian soap Neighbours, or its rival Home and Away.
While many Australian Hollywood stars have come from Neighbours and Home and Away, there are some that have struggled to take that Australian soap success and build it into a Hollywood career. One such star, who appeared in 186 episodes of Neighbours, is Australian actor Blair McDonough, who played the role of Stuart Parker in the Aussie soap.
Blair McDonough was in Neighbours between 2001 and 2006 but has not exactly managed to light up Hollywood like many other Australian stars. However, Blair has managed to continue having a successful acting career in Australia, while also taking his acting skills to the UK for a while.
Since leaving Neighbours in 2006, Blair McDonough has appeared in the British show Heartbeat, where he played the role of Mick MacDonald in four episodes. It is Australia where he has really found success though, appearing in five episodes of Sea Patrol, playing the character Matt Robsen, before then taking on the role of Matt O'Connor in Winners and Losers, appearing in 44 episodes.
Blair McDonough has not been very active for the past year or so and it is unclear what he has planned for the future but, whatever he does do next, we wish him all the best.
