Actress Blake Lively rose to stardom, thanks to her portrayal of the character Serena van der Woodsen in the hit The CW television series Gossip Girl. Blake appeared in 121 episodes of Gossip Girl between 2007 and 2012, before the show came to an end. Since then, we have been waiting for Lively to make her acting return and we do not have too much longer to wait.
Blake Lively will star in the movie Age of Adaline and, in recent weeks we have seen the cast of the movie slowly begin to grow. It has already been confirmed that Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn will also appear in Age of Adaline and now it has been announced that actor Michiel Huisman has signed on to appear in the film.
For those of you who have not heard much about Age of Adaline, it is described as "A young woman, born at the turn of 20th century, is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality."
Age of Adaline will be directed by Lee Toland Krieger, based on the script that was developed by J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz, with revisions by Allison Burnett. Sidney Kimmel, Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will produce the movie, with Jim Tauber and Eric Reid as executive producers. Age of Adaline will begin shooting in March, with a release date expected for 2015.
