The HBO gangster series Boardwalk Empire was guaranteed to be a success before the pilot episode had even been aired, due to the fact that Martin Scorsese was involved in it. The first season made such an impact that a second season was instantly commissioned.
Now we are just over a week away from the season two premiere hitting our screens and it is set to be another season of mayhem. Expect the second season to have just as much crime, violence and sex as in the first season and probably even a little bit more.
Boardwalk Empire centres around the life of the corrupt politician Nucky Thompson, who is played by Steve Buscemi, during America’s prohibition era. The show also stars Kelly Macdonald, Michael Shannon and Stephen Graham. Boardwalk Empire returns to HBO for its second run on September 25.
