Actor and stand-up comedian Bobby Moynihan entered the film industry as C.D. (Bobby Moynihan jr.) in the comedy film, Economics 101 (2002). Bobby is best known for his roles in Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursday (2008-12), such as Larry and Drunk Uncle, and Anthony Crispino, news reporter who gets the news second-hand and consistently screws up the stories with hilarious results.
Bobby has been entertaining in films, bringing humor through minor acting roles to films such as The Invention of Lying (2009) alongside star, and writer Ricky Gervais, as an assistant, and similarly in the television series The Incredible Drunk (2006), as a bar patron.
Don’t knock the value of small roles as they get your face out there, and it’s possible to be remembered for one small but hilariously funny line in a show. Such is the case with Bobby’s quote while playing the character of Jordy as he says, when I was fifteen years old, when I got this job, I said to myself, "I am going to work here until the day that I kill myself." from Mystery Team (2009). With 37 credits in his acting career, many of these have not placed him in top billing, but this does not seem to present a problem.
Bobby is staying busy and is currently working on five new projects. The upcoming animated television series Chozen (2014) includes top billing for Moynihan as the star, an ex-con white rapper. He has a minor role in Neighbors (2014), comedy film about a couple with a new baby who live near a frat house, and second billing in the comedy film Bread and Butter (2013).
