The Harry Potter movie franchise has become one of the biggest, best and most successful movie franchises of all time, making house hold names of a number of the young and talented stars involved. Actress Bonnie Wright played the role of Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter movies and she has admitted that she is glad that social media was not as big back then as it has become in recent years.
Wright explained, "I feel very lucky and pleased that when we were filming Harry Potter, social media didn't really exist. That was an incredibly lucky thing. I wasn't a nine-year-old with a Twitter account. I'm thankful. It's not fun when you're a teenager and experiencing those things. You're growing into yourself and see photos of yourself like, 'oh God!' Especially when you're changing so much every year."
She added, "Whether or not you're on the internet or your own personal world, that's a journey every woman goes through - that battle of not caring about your physical body. It's not great having it across the internet, but it's a question of how much you want to distance yourself from it - that's what I've really learned."
While some of the stars of the Harry Potter movie franchise have gone on to enjoy very successful careers in the acting side of things, it seems that Bonnie Wright has decided to take a bit of a different approach to her future. Rather than aiming to become a top actress, Bonnie has instead decided to move behind the camera and, after making a string of short films, she plans on making her feature film directorial debut in the near future.
