Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper has always been a man with millions of female admirers but, following his new, bulked up physique, the actor has managed to gain even more admirers. Bradley gained around 30 pounds of muscle for his role in the new movie American Sniper and, since he has been sober for 10 years, he managed to do it all naturally and without any help from any substances.
Cooper was chatting in the January issue of Vanity Fair magazine, when he explained, "I did it naturally. Because I've been sober for 10 years and didn't want to do anything. I had a realistic conversation: Can I do this in three months naturally? Can I gain 30 pounds of f**king muscle? I didn't know if I would be able to do it or not. Thank God--luckily--my f**king body reacted fast."
As well as being sober for 10 years and not wanting to use and substances to help him bulk up, Bradley Cooper also opened up about other factors that have come together to make him the man he is today. Bradley lost his father Charles Cooper back in 2011 and the actor has admitted that it made him realise a few things about himself.
Cooper added, "Losing someone close to me. Going through love and loss . . . knowing what's important. Realising that the bottom line is that all I got is me, so it's about time to stop trying to be something that I think you would want me to be. Or that would give me what I think I need. As you get older, thank God, your body deteriorates, but your soul sort of flourishes."
As well as starring Bradley Cooper, American Sniper also stars Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes, Max Charles, Kyle Gallner, Brando Eaton, and Jake McDorman. American Sniper is directed by Clint Eastwood, based on the script that Jason Hall developed from the Chris Kyle book, with a release date scheduled for January 16, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
