It has been reported that the Hangover star Bradley Cooper is being lined up to play the super villain Johnny Bolt in the big screen adaptation of the comic book Supercrooks. Mark Millar, who penned the miniseries, has admitted that Bradley Cooper is their first choice to play the protagonist of the piece.

Millar stated, “We've got a great director, a great screenplay and as of Christmas we'll have time to start prepping this sucker. Who we gonna call? Bradley Cooper.”
He added, “I am literally calling up his guys tomorrow and want to secure him as Johnny Bolt. It's about time he did a super-movie and having him as a likeable supervillain in a super-heist flick sounds about perfect. He's our ideal choice and we're going to pursue this tomorrow.”

The screenplay for Supercrooks is currently being worked on by Nacho Vigalondo, who is also said to be directing the project. Supercrooks centres around A group of retired British thieves, who are brought together for one last job. There no official release date for Supercrooks yet but it is expected that the movie will be released sometime in 2014.
