Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper has tried to clear up the recent rumours surrounding him and the J.J. Abrams movie about shamed cyclist drug cheat Lance Armstrong. It was previously claimed that Bradley was interested in the role and had contacted J.J. about being in the film.
Abrams even seemed to confirm that he had made contact with Bradley about the possibility of playing Lance Armstrong on the big screen. However, Bradley has now claimed that it is all untrue and that he did not even know that J.J. Abrams was involved with the project.
Cooper was talking to Access Hollywood, when he explained, “No… Oh my God, that's so nuts. I was in Manchester, doing the BBC morning show… I had no idea what [the interviewer] was talking about. I didn't even know that JJ has the rights, I had no idea.”
The J.J. Abrams movie about Lance Armstrong will be based on the book Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong, which was written by Juliet MACur. Other actors that are being linked to the role of Lance Armstrong include Jake Gyllenhaal, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Damon.
