Britney Spears and her former agent Jason Trawick have called off their engagement.

The couple in happier times
Thirty-one year old Britney confirmed that she and Jason had parted ways last week, saying: 'Jason and I have decided to call off out engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends.'
Meanwhile, it appears that Jason still has feelings for his ex, as he confirmed: 'I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.'

Britney plans to remain friends with Jason
So it seems that the ex couple, who announced their engagement in December 2011 after dating for almost two years, are still intent on remaining close friends.
The reasons behind their shock split have been keeping people guessing, but some publications have suggested that it was Jason who called off their engagement amid concerns about Britney's mental health. Reports are also suggesting that the couple had been having problems for a while, but Jason's concern for Britney has held them together.
The split in their union hasn't just been personal; Jason is also no long a co-conservator or manager for Britney.
Britney's representative Jeff Raymond told the Daily Mail newspaper: 'Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have mutually agreed to end their one-year engagement. As two mature adults, they came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends.'
