Just Go With It actress, Brooklyn Decker, has revealed how working with Rihanna on the movie Battleship was kind of comforting, as they are both new to the acting world and it was good to have somebody around, who was in the same boat. Brooklyn also admitted that director Peter Berg made things easier for the new comers, as he has an acting background and could easily communicate with them on a level.
Decker explained, “Peter’s a completely unconventional director. You’ll be fighting an alien and he’ll throw things at you like, ‘order a cheeseburger and French fries!’ and you’ll be like ‘what!?’. He does it just to throw you off so you’re mind gets fresh again. Things like that make it fun and really exciting. You never know what he’s going to come out with.”
She added, “He comes from an acting background so he knows how to talk to all of us, which I think helps us especially with Rhianna and I who are new to sets. He just really knows how to get to us.” As well as Brooklyn Decker and Rihanna, Battleship also stars Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch and is set to hit the big screen on April 20, 2012 in the UK and May 18, 2012 in the US.
