Brooklyn Decker admits that she auditioned for a part in the Hunger Games franchise, and was extremely ‘bummed’ to lose out the role.

Brooklyn Decker was a model before she was an actress
According to Yahoo OMG!, Decker revealed that she is a huge fan of the Hunger Games franchise, saying, “I read the books in three days, and cried. I worshipped the books. I was like, ‘I wanna be in the movie, I wanna do it.’” She continued, “I auditioned for ‘Hunger Games. Not for the Katniss, but for a character in the second book that I loved.” She wouldn’t reveal what character she auditioned for, but it’s either Johanna Mason or Cashmere; it’s hard to see Decker auditioning for anyone else, mostly because they are two of the highest profile roles in the second film.
Of course, we knew she wasn’t cast, and she admits that it was disappointing to find out, saying, “I was bummed, but it is not going to stop me from seeing it on opening night. It happens all the time. I am learning that in this business, you can have a job, but things can fall through. It is a constantly evolving business.”

While Decker didn’t get the Hunger Games role, her career has definitely not stalled nor slowed down since she made her film debut with ‘Just Go With It’. She now has ‘Battleship’ and ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting’ on her resume, and was most recently seen in a guest appearance on ‘New Girl’ - and of course, she always has modeling to fall back upon.
