It seems like forever since we've last seen Bryce Dallas Howard on the big screen. In fact, she had a pretty major 2010-2011, with three films coming out in 2010 and four films coming out in 2011. She had a short film, 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse', and 'Hereafter' come out in 2010, and then she produced a film called 'Restless' in 2011, and starred in 'The Help', '50/50', and directed a short called 'When You Find Me."

Howard was one of the big names that was missing from the awards campaign for 'The Help', which ended up being a major player during the 2012 Academy Awards. However, Howard was rarely spotted during that time and even the last year, as she was busy with the birth of her second child. However, she is now set to come back in a big way by writing and directing her first feature film, 'The Originals'.
The film's plot, per IMDB, states, "An ensemble film about a group of twenty-somethings who reconvene for a weekend in New York after learning that the teacher who shaped their childhoods has fallen into a mysterious coma."

The film is currently in the scripting stage and has not yet moved on to casting, but Howard previously spoke about writing one of the roles for Zoe Saldana. We won't know for sure either way until the film goes into pre-production, but the film's release date is listed as 2013 so we should expect to hear some concrete information soon.
