With the amount of stunning women that we have seen coming through in Hollywood over the years, it is no surprise that the older actresses would naturally feel a pressure to look as young as possible. However, it is not just pressure that they put on themselves, as there is also a lot of pressure put on them by others to stay looking youthful as they grow older.
Actress Cameron Diaz has been in the movie making business for many years now and, at the age of 41 she is still considered on of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. Cameron recently appeared on an Oprah Winfrey special, where she opened up about the pressure of looking youthful instead of growing old gracefully.
Diaz told Oprah Winfrey, "Women don't allow other women to age gracefully. And we don't give ourselves permission to age gracefully. And they're trying.. For me I feel like if I... it's almost as if we have failed if we don't remain 25 for the rest of our lives. Like we are failures. It's a personal failure. Like our fault that at 40 years old that I still don't look like I'm 25. 'Oh, I'm sorry. I apologise. I wasn't able to defy nature.'"
As for her acting career, Cameron Diaz will next appear on the big screen starring in the upcoming movie The Other Woman, which co-stars Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, to name just a few. The Other Woman is directed by Nick Casavettes, based on the screenplay that was developed by Melissa Stack, with a release date set for April 23 in the UK, before then hitting the big screen in the US on April 25.
