There have been a few names thrown about, when it comes to the Tomb Raider movie reboot and a while back, it was even suggested that Kim Kardashian could be in line to play Lara Croft in the film. Now though, with news that the new Tomb Raider movie will keep in sync with the game, it pretty much rules her out.

Lara Croft in Tomb Raider game
The new Tomb Raider games centres around a young Lara Croft, who is learning to develop her skills as she goes along. That would mean that a younger actress would be needed to play the role of Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider movie reboot.
Which brings us to Camilla Luddington. While Camilla Luddington is 29 years old, she could easily pass for younger than that and the fact that she voices Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider game certainly goes in her favour, as does the fact that she is British.

Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider movie
No disrespect to Angelina Jolie but her English accent was very poor in the Tomb Raider films, which could be said for most Americans attempting English accents. While it is still very early days with the Tomb Raider reboot and even if it is not Camilla Luddington, it should certainly be an English actress.
