Actress, author and producer Candace Cameron Bure recently created a media firestorm and debate when she stated in her new book, that she takes a "submissive" role in marriage to her husband, retired NHL hockey player Valerie Bure. In January 2014 Candace Cameron Bure's book, "Balancing It All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose" was released and the ex-"Full House" actor's comments about how she lets her husband lead in the marriage became instant news fodder for feminists who criticized her beliefs.
Interestingly, the critics obviously did not know who they were dealing with in Candace Cameron Bure because instead of apologizing she defended her position and in the process let Hollywood's producers and directors know that she is more than capable of handling criticism. In Hollywood some of the directors and producers can be very demanding and even though it is unlikely that Candace Cameron Bure did not intend to use this situation as a way to show that she was unafraid of voicing her opinion and holding her ground it did enhance her image within the Hollywood acting community.
Candace Cameron Bure will be seen in a featured role in the already completed dramatic movie "To the Wall" in January 2015 and over the course of 2014 her efforts will be focused on book signings and interviews and also considering her next acting projects.
Candace Cameron Bure response to criticism of her comments in her book and photos displaying her impressive fitness suggest that this woman is getting ready for a return to the Hollywood spotlight as an actress/entertainment personality and she is not someone who will be pushed around in Hollywood.
