Carey Mulligan's biggest role to date is approaching as Daisy in 'The Great Gatsby' which was just moved from a December release date to Summer 2013. It's been a while since we've last seen Mulligan, as her last roles were in Shame and Drive in 2011. She has a small supporting role coming up in 'Inside Llewyn Davis', but her big 'moment' will be in 'The Great Gatsby' with Leonardo Dicaprio as her leading man. She speaks to AnOther magazine about 'the Great Gatsby' and how it was her biggest role yet, in their Fall/Winter 2012 cover. She was photographed by Craig Dean and wears Prada and MiuMiu collection designs in the photos.
On starring in The Great Gatsby:
“Gatsby is the biggest film I’ve been in. It would be quite bad if I was terrible.”
On working with Leonardo DiCaprio:
“The most famous person on set sets the tone for how everyone behaves. If Leonardo DiCaprio is being lovely and working really hard, then No 15 on the call sheet can’t be a d*ck.”
Mulligan broke out with her Oscar nominated performance in 'An Education', and has followed that up with impressive turns in 'Never Let Me Go', 'Drive', and 'Shame'. She has also debuted on Broadway with 'Seagul' to universal critical and public acclaim. Mulligan has also recently married Mumford and Sons' Marcus Mumford in a private ceremony in England, so she's taking a well deserved break from promotions and filming.
