There have been a lot of actors and actresses from British soaps over the years, who have left to try to make a name for themselves elsewhere. While some have been complete failures, others have had success and it seems that Hollyoaks is a great place for these stars to start. Carley Stenson played Steph in Hollyoaks and she feels it was a great place to learn.
Talking of Hollyoaks being a platform, Stenson said, "I do! I wish more people felt that way. You are constantly learning and shaping your craft. The diversity of story lines and platforms is like no other show for young adults. You are challenged and tested all within a wonderfully ‘informal’ friendly environment. It’s the best."
She then spoke about the mix of talent the show has had over the years, adding, "Everyone is an individual on the show. Yes, we may have had some performers who struggled with certain pieces but we have had many, many fantastic actors. Award winning remember!"
Actresses Roxanne McKee and Nathalie Emmanuel have both left Hollyoaks and gone on to star in the hit HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones. As for Carley Stenson, she is enjoying her time performing on the West End and has earned some impressive reviews.
