While the comic book movie scene is continuing to go from strength to strength with more and more new superhero movies being released every year, it is probably fair to say that Marvel are dominating in this genre, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe leading the way for everyone else to chase. It is not only on the big screen that Marvel have been impressing though, as they have also been giving us some fantastic shows as part of their deal with Netflix.

We were originally told that there were going to be a number of new Marvel Netflix shows being released, which would lead up to a small screen team up series and, following the release of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, we are now preparing for the release of that much anticipated team up series, with The Defenders currently being filmed and aiming to appear on Netflix in September this year.
As well as some of the main characters popping up in one another's solo series, as well as teaming together in The Defenders, there are also some of the supporting characters who have been doing the same thing. Actress Carrie-Anne Moss played the role of Jeri Hogarth in the Jessica Jones series, before then making a guest appearance in an episode of Daredevil season 2, as well as appearing in an episode of Iron Fist.

While we know that Carrie-Anne Moss is going to reprise her role as Jeri Hogarth in The Defenders, it looks like we might only get to see her popping up in three episodes of the series, although that is enough to make the actress and her fans very excited indeed. We have enjoyed what Marvel and Netflix have done with these characters so far and cannot wait to see what The Defenders brings us.
