There have been rumors flying around all over the internet about the fate of Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode 7. Ever since Disney announced that they were buying LucasFilm and releasing the next Star Wars installment in 2015, one of the main questions on fans’ minds was whether their beloved trio of actors would be reprising their iconic roles.

Harrison Ford as Han Solo
It had been rumored that all three were interested in reprising their roles, but nothing had been confirmed from the studio or actors. However, it seems that now Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess Leia, has spoken up about the role and confirmed that she will be in Episode 7.
Theforce.net, the biggest Star Wars fan site on the Internet, recently posted this snippet from a fan: "I was at Carrie Fishers booksigning in Cherry Hill, NJ on November 15, and the interview she did started with the question 'Are you really going to be in a new star wars movie?' and Carrie answered quietly 'Yes....I thought it was already common knowledge.' She did not elaborate, as she probably doesn't want to crow too loudly at this point in the project development. But this is the first confirmation from one of the main OT Cast. LFL has not said the cast would return yet."

There’s obviously no guarantee of this until Lucasfilm or Disney make the announcement, but it seems as if things are looking good so far.
