Country singer Cassadee Pope must be thanking her lucky stars that country music superstar Blake Shelton was able to become her mentor when she was on the reality music talent show "The Voice" because the pairing in all probability helped her become a 2014 CMT Music Award nominee. She became the eventual winner of the third season of "The Voice" in December 2012 and almost a year later she released the single "Wasting All These Tears" which became a Top 10 single on the country music charts and is now responsible for her upcoming attendance at the CMT Music Awards as a nominee.
The video for the song has earned her nominations for the "Breakthrough Video of the Year" and "Female Video of the Year" but for music insiders, her success is partly due to the fact that this talented musical artist was willing to incorporate some of the recommendations provided her by Blake Shelton and it has led to her becoming one of the hottest country music artists in the United States.
In an interesting twist of fate, Cassadee Pope, in having her video selected as one of the contenders for "Female Video of the Year" will be in direct competition with Miranda Lambert, the wife of Blake Shelton as well as some other female country music superstars such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow and Kacey Musgraves.
In addition, she is also the only female in the group of candidates for "Breakthrough Video of the Year" but whether she wins or loses is almost immaterial. The success of Cassadee Pope's album which reached number 1 on the Country Album charts and her popularity with fans has shown that she has the talent and popularity that should result in her having a very long and successful career as a country music entertainer.
