When the Catching Fire crew wrapped up filming in Hawaii at the end of December, many assumed that the film itself had wrapped and were expecting to see a trailer soon. However, various cast members have confirmed that filming was just paused to allow Jennifer Lawrence to conduct her awards season duties without the hassle of flying back and forth between Hawaii and Los Angeles.

To see exhausting something like that might be, we only need to look at Jessica Chastain, who has been struggling to fly back and forth between Los Angeles and New York City, where she was doing her Broadway show. Lawrence would have had an ever harder time at it, as Hawaii is significantly further away from London and NYC than Los Angeles is.
Well, Lawrence should rest up when she gets the chance, as the Oscars are in two weeks, and she revealed on Nightline that she flies out the day after the Oscars. She mentioned in the interview that she wants to thank Summit [the studio behind the Hunger Games franchise] for not making her fly back and forth. Of course, they would also have a reason not to make her as it would benefit them as well if Lawrence were to win the Oscar. Then, they can announce to the world that the lead actress of their blockbuster YA franchise is also an Oscar winning actress, not to mention the amount of publicity that will get them.

‘Catching Fire’ is set to come out on November 22nd of this year, and co-stars Lawrence with returning cast members Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, and Woody Harrelson.
