It seems that a day does not go by at the moment without it being reported that a new celebrity couple are splitting up, so is it worth a celebrity couple getting married? Are those few years of married bliss really worth the drawn out divorce procedures?
In most cases, one of them will end up having to give half of their earnings to the other, which seems highly unfair but is the way of the world. Even Mel Gibson had to give $16m to his ex Oksana Grigorieva and they were not even married. There is too much emphasis on a celebrity’s life as it is but then adding another celebrity to that it becomes too much.
Yes the love is there to start with but with the constant hounding, rumours of cheating and break ups, it can become too much and in the end, the majority end in divorce. There is also the added factor that both celebrities work hard and have to travel.
This forces them to spend much time apart and while it is said that absence makes the heart grow fonder, in most cases this is not true and can ultimately end a relationship. Just look at Zac Efron an Vanessa Hudgens who could not make being apart work. Fortunately they had not entered into marriage but there are those who do.
