It seems that a lot of celebrities have come out and started to make a stand against the people on Twitter who are constantly abusing them. There are often so called fans of these stars making death threats and being down right insulting and it begs the question, why do they follow that celebrity in the first place?

However, there are a lot of people that seem to get their kicks from hiding behind the internet and being abusive. This is not only a problem for celebrities but also for your average everyday person and internet bullying needs to stop. But who is the best at dealing with the celebrity abuse?
Well one star who is often receiving abuse on Twitter is Imogen Thomas, such as “@Imogen_Thomas Hope you die”, and she responds to the abuse by either giving it back or acknowledging it in some way or form. This only encourages the internet bully to do it more as they can see they are getting a rise out of the star.

Another star who is often targeted by these online cowards is Manchester United footballer Michael Owen. For instance “@themichaelowen what's ur routine. Tensing ur arse ready to sit on the bench again.. #shite”. However, Michael takes the opposite approach and ignores the haters but this is also an approach that can encourage further abuse.
The best way to react to these internet bullies is to make a stand and stop it from happening all together. It is not easy and it is probably almost impossible but these cowards need to know that they are not big and not clever. So join the campaign and help stop Twitter abuse!
