Celina Jaitly is proving to be someone whom you don't want to be on her wrong side. The Bollywood actress who will be seen in the film "Hello 2" is not only a past beauty queen but one who is a committed PETA activist and she is currently focused on freeing the elephant 'Sunder' by filing a police complaint against Kolhapur MLA Vinay Kore and Sunder's mahout for animal cruelty.
She and PETA activists claims the elephant is suffering from a huge wound that is the result of being constantly chained and has also been subject to constant beatings from the mahout and want Sunder released to an elephant sanctuary. She has filed a "zero fir" which allows for the complaint to be transferred to police jurisdiction in Kolhapur.
Celina Saitly is demonstrating in her fight for 'Sunder' that while she is a celebrated and renown actress this is only one part of who she is. Kolhapur MLA Vinay Kore and the mahout probably are wishing that the beautiful actress would focus her energies only on acting but she lives by the creed "to those whom much is given, much is expected".
Her willingness to bring attention to injustices such as the mistreatment of animals such as 'Sunder' and the unfair treatment of people in the LGBT communities by providing a voice and celebrity face is one of the aspects of her character that is so admirable to many in the entertainment industry.
There are numerous reasons why Celina Jaitly is popular such as her beauty and her acting talent but there is also the view among movie viewers that she is not just a rich celebrity but someone who cares about those who do not have a voice. It take courage to be a thorn in the side of a politician such as MLA Vinay Kore to provide the freedom of an elephant such as 'Sunder' and one thing she has proven in her fight for 'Sunder' is that Celina Jaitly is courageous and is fully committed to being a PETA activist.
