Arsenal face a hard test in Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich as the two sides face each other at the Emirates tonight.
The Gunners' season has not been great so far and their UEFA Champions League challenge ended in the last 16 in the last two years. Wenger's side will be determined to put away their shocking loss to Blackburn at the weekend and will hope to progress as Bayern visit the Emirates stadium for the first-leg.
Last year's finalists Bayern have progressed from this round in three of the last seasons. The Bundesliga leaders finished on top of Group F but they have not won in five trips to London and have lost their last four visits to England.
Bayern Munich had nine different goalscorers in the Champions League group stage, more than any other team in the tournament. By comparison, Arsenal scored just 10 goals in total from their six group stage matches, and recorded just 47 shots in total as well. That is the least of all the teams.
The two sides have met four times with Arsenal winning just once. The last time these two sides met in 2004/05 season, Bayern had the upper hand winning 3-1 at home and it was enough to go through even though Arsenal won 1-0 in the second-leg.
Possible starting line-ups:
Arsenal (4-3-3): Szczesny-Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen-Arteta, Ramsey-Wilshere-Walcott, Podolski, Cazorla Bayern Munich (4-2-3-1): Neuer-Lahm, Van Buyten, Dante, Alaba-Martinez, Schweinsteiger-Muller, Kroos, Ribery-Mandzukic
