So there has been a lot of talk about the Ghostbusters franchise for quite some time now and, while we know that Paul Feig is working on a new Ghostbusters project, which will feature a female-led cast, it seems that there could be another Ghostbusters movie in the works. This Ghostbusters film would star Chris Pratt and Channing Tatum and would tie in with the Paul Feig movie.
It has been reported that Channing Tatum has pitched his Ghostbusters idea to Sony, and is looking to work on the potential project with the Russos, who seem to be on board to produce the movie, although they would not direct. With the idea of tieing in this Ghostbusters project with the Paul Feig, female led movie, could we see Paul Feig directing both?
The idea behind the Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt starring Ghostbusters film, is that the movie would be a scary project with the added humour, the combination which made the original Ghostbusters film such a success. This new Ghostbusters film, along with the female led project, could open doors for many more Ghostbusters films to be made in the future.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the Ghostbusters movie franchise from here and whether we can see two different versions of a Ghostbusters movie appearing in the same universe, while also being separate projects. Would that work or would it just get confusing? We will just have to wait and see.
What do you think about all this Ghostbusters news? Is it good news or are you hoping it doesn't happen?
