When it was announced that there were plans to make a new 21 Jump Street movie which would star Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in the lead roles, there were a lot of sceptical people who thought the project was a big risk. However, 21 Jump Street Managed to surprise a lot of people and, following the success of the movie, it was confirmed that a sequel would be made.
Later in the year we will see the return of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill in 22 Jump Street and the two stars have been talking about the new movie. Channing says that almost everybody that he spoke to about the film wanted to have a cameo appearance in it, even some of whom are not even in the acting industry.
Tatum was chatting to Collider when he explained, "Pretty much everyone that I … they’re like, 'Dude, I want in.' Even people who aren’t in the industry, the acting industry, or other industries that are well-known, they’re just like, 'Man, this shit’s awesome. We want in.' But you know, we don’t want to have every single person; it kinda takes you out of the movie. But there might be some people."
As well as starring Channing Tatum and Jonah, the 22 Jump Street cast also includes Dave Franco, Richard Grieco, Nick Offerman, Peter Stormare and Ice Cube. 22 Jump Street is directed by Phill Lord and Christopher Miller and will open on June 6 in the UK, before then hitting the big screen in the US on June 13.
