There was once a time when it looked like we were never going to get an Ant-Man movie, with the project hitting so many different bumps along the way, before Marvel finally pull it together and gave us a very enjoyable film. Now, there is another comic book movie that seems to be struggling to get itself off the ground, with plenty of issues of its own.
Fans have been calling for the X-Men character Gambit to get his own solo movie for many years now, and were delighted to learn that the project would be pushing ahead with Channing Tatum taking on the lead role. Since then, there have been so many different rumours about the issues the movie has been facing and now there appears that there could be another.
Channing Tatum has taken to his official Twitter account to confirm that he has signed on for a role in the new movie sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which has led many to question what this will mean for the Gambit movie. Well, not to worry too much, as Channing will be able to get his scenes shot for Kingsman: The Golden Circle before production begins on Gambit.
Gambit is not set to start shooting until later in the year, when director Doug Liman has finished up with his current project The Wall, giving Channing Tatum plenty of time to do both movies.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is due to hit the big screen on June 16, 2017, while the Gambit movie has yet to receive an official release date. We will keep you posted.
