Actress Charlotte Ross recently appeared on the hit television series "Nashville" after having to pass on reprising her popular "Days of Our Lives" role as Eve Donovan for one of the best reasons an actress can have ... too many other projects. Charlotte Ross was recently seen on a episode of "Nashville" as Ruth Bennett but to play this role she had to say "no" to a potential return to the daytime soap opera role that made her famous because she had already committed herself to filming "Nashville" and two other projects and thus she would just not have enough time.
While it is always difficult to say not to a project, especially one that can provide consistent acting work it must have been quite satisfying to Charlotte Ross to look at her career and realize that she is an actress in demand because she was placed in a situation where she could not take on all the projects that were being offered to her.
In her recent role on "Nashville" she played a reformed alcoholic who was at one time a back up singer on Rayna's tours and now they come across one another. At the same time her presence also results in her and Deacon developing a 'spark' with one another.
This role enabled Charlotte Ross to show her dramatic range to primetime viewers and also let the producers and directors of Hollywood know that she is still very capable of performing substantial challenging dramatic roles. Her role in "Nashville" could almost be seen as providing entertainment insiders a reminder of her impressive acting skill and in that regard, her objective was accomplished with great success.
