There were some rather shocking scenes this evening in the Capital One Cup Semi-Final between Chelsea and Swansea, as Chelsea's Belgian star Eden Hazard was shown a red card for kicking a ball boy. The scenes are reminiscent of when Eric Cantona jumped into the crowd to kung-fu kick a fan.

With time running down and Chelsea still needing to find three more goals to win the match, the ball went out of play for a throw in. The ball boy grabbed the ball and Chelsea's Eden Hazard ran over to the young lad in a rather aggressive manner.
The ball boy then fell to the ground and lay on top of the ball as Eden Hazard stood over him. Clearly agitated by the youngsters blatant attempt to waste some time, Eden Hazard then did the unthinkable and actually kicked the boy in the side. As the boy turned over, it looked like Hazard was going to stamp on him but instead managed to retrieve the ball.
Eden Hazard is a professional football and, as such, is supposed to set a good example for the young children looking to get into the game. This act was horrific and Eden Hazard deserves a hefty fine and a long ban. If anything, he deserves the same treatment that Eric Cantona received all those years ago and a nine month ban would be fitting of the offence.
