While there are still a lot of people out there who feel that the reality television series The X Factor is ruining the music industry, giving us manufactured pop acts who are taking away from the real talented musicians trying to make a name for themselves, you cannot deny that they show has brought us some talented and successful stars. Singer Cher Lloyd rose to fame as a contestant on The X Factor and, while she did not win the show, she has still enjoyed a successful music career over the past few years.
Cher Lloyd made the decision to head over to the US, where she has been slowly but surely developing a reputation and a fanbase for herself. As well as releasing plenty of music, Cher has also been on the road and recently supported Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights Tour. While talking about the tour, Cher has revealed how Demi tried to play pranks on her but was unsuccessful in her attempts.
Lloyd told MTV News, "I heard that Demi was going to pull a prank on me — I heard it through the grapevine. And I had this big fluffy onesie in the back of my bus. I just put the onesie on and I thought it would be funny 'cause I'll get onstage looking like an idiot, and she's going to do something to me, so I might as well stroll up looking like a tiger, lion or whatever it was. And she had this silly string, but she was cracking up so much that it was quite difficult to silly-string me. I'm always on guard for that sort of stuff — you can't catch me. I'd like to see you try!"
As for her own music career, now that the Neon Lights Tour has finished, Cher Lloyd is preparing for the release of her second album, which is titled Sorry I'm Late and is expected to land on May 27. Sorry I'm Late features the recently released singles Sirens and Dirty Love, and we look forward to hearing the new Cher Lloyd album when it lands.
