Former X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd seems to be making all the right moves in her career at the moment, as she begins to make a very good impression on the American music market. Cher made a name for herself in the UK on the reality singing television series The X Factor.

Nice face Cher ;)
Since then, Cher has followed in the footsteps of a number of British acts, such as One Direction, Ed Sheeran and Adele, by trying to crack America. While Cher has a very pop sound to her music, she has admitted that she grew up singing country music to her mother.
Lloyd explained, “Growing up, I listened to a lot of country music with my mom. She’d be doing the washing up and I’d sit on the kitchen counter and she’d make me sing for her. She’d tell me to sing this Dolly [Parton] song or this Dolly song or Patsy Cline’s song and I loved to do it."

Cher Lloyd in her X Factor days
While Cher Lloyd may have grown up singing a number of country songs to her mother, we have yet to hear anything remotely country from her music. Could we be set to see a Cher Lloyd country album in the future? It would certainly be an interesting prospect.
