Over the years the hit television series The X Factor have given us some very talented and successful acts and, while some of them talk fondly of their time on The X Factor, there are others who did not have such a great time on the show. Singer Cher Lloyd was just 16 years old when she first appeared on The X Factor and she has gone on to enjoy a successful career since.
With that said though, Cher Lloyd has revealed how she did not have a very good experience on The X Factor, as she felt that they were trying to change who she was to fit what they wanted. Cher had such an uncomfortable time on the show that she has admitted that she would never let her child audition for The X Factor.
Lloyd explained, "I felt like people thought there was something wrong with who I was. I'd go into a room and they'd talk about how they needed to change the way I dressed and did my make-up. No-one explained anything to me and it made me feel really hurt and very angry."
She added, "I behaved badly because that was the only way I could deal with it. If I had a 16-year-old daughter, I wouldn't let her do a show like that. I wasn't ready and it just messed with my head."
Cher Lloyd is continuing to move forward with her music career and has been working on some new music during the first half of the year. Fans only have a little while longer to wait for some new music, as Cher Lloyd releases her new EP Sirens on July 20.
